History
The Tenuta di Saragano estate at Gualdo Cattaneo, on the western edge of the Montefalco zone, traces its land back to the 14th century and has been making Montefalco Sagrantino since 1921.
Across roughly two hundred and twenty hectares, twelve are under vine – Sagrantino and Sangiovese alongside Grechetto, Merlot and the reviving Trebbiano Spoletino – worked with an eye to the estate's long tradition, with the 'La Ghirlanda' agriturismo and restaurant on site.
