History

Ca' del Bosco grew from a modest house called Ca' del Bosc, surrounded by oak and chestnut woods, that Annamaria Clementi Zanella bought in the Erbusco hills. Her son Maurizio Zanella turned it into one of the founding estates of modern Franciacorta, releasing his first trio of metodo classico spumanti in December 1978 and becoming a driving force behind the Franciacorta DOCG. The winery is known for meticulous, almost obsessive cellar practices, including a berry-washing line for hand-picked grapes, and for the flagship Annamaria Clementi cuvée named after the founder's mother.
