History
The Santoro estate traces its roots to 1850, when Giuseppe Santoro - great-great-grandfather of the current owner - returned from America and began cultivating land in the comune of Cirò, in the province of Crotone, that still forms the heart of the property today.
Five generations of growers have since followed one another in the heart of the Cirò DOC, handing down their knowledge of the region's arid, clayey soils.
The estate works its native Gaglioppo and Greco Bianco vines under organic rules, bottling reds, rosés and whites in its own cellars to avoid moving the wine and altering its structure.
