Monte dei Ragni

History

The Ragno family have farmed the 'Monte dei Ragni' land at Fumane for around five generations (the name comes from a 19th-century land registry).

Zeno Zignoli married into the family and spent eight years, aided by a horse, preparing the ground before releasing his first wine in 2003.

He makes tiny quantities of Amarone and Valpolicella Ripasso by minimal-intervention methods.
