History
Fabio Chiarelotto, a trained historian, bought the Montepeloso estate at Suvereto in 1998 and reworked it meticulously, pulling out weak vines and matching varieties to the windy, warm coastal site. His concentrated, age-worthy Toscana IGT reds, above all the Sangiovese-led Nardo and the 100% Cabernet Gabbro, made Montepeloso a coastal-Tuscan cult name.
