History

Alberto Quacquarini is the reference producer of Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, a rare red sparkling wine and one of Italy's most unusual DOCGs. Making wine at Serrapetrona since 1958, the family uses the appellation's signature triple fermentation: half the grapes are pressed at harvest, the other half dried and pressed months later, then blended and re-fermented, and finally taken sparkling, giving an aromatic red frizzante in both dry and sweet styles.
