History

Giuseppe Bisci, a carpenter turned furniture industrialist, bought a Matelica estate in 1972 with his brother Pierino, releasing the first Bisci bottle in 1982. Guided to the Fogliano Alto site by local growers, they made Bisci a reference for Verdicchio di Matelica, the cooler, inland cousin of Castelli di Jesi; his sons Mauro and Tito run it today.
