History
Cantine Belisario is the guardian of Verdicchio di Matelica, the rarer, inland cousin of Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi. Founded as a cooperative in 1971 to keep the valley's vines in the ground, it grew into the largest producer of the appellation and its quality reference. Its Riserva Cambrugiano, made since 1988, is a benchmark for the ageworthy, mineral style of Matelica Verdicchio.
