History
Borgo Paglianetto works 25 hectares of certified-organic vineyard in the hills around Matelica, the inland valley that is the epicenter of Verdicchio di Matelica, giving up conventional farming in favor of organic (copper and sulfur only).
The calcareous-clay soils of ancient marine origin and the valley's continental microclimate yield aromatically intense grapes that keep high acidity, the backbone of its Verdicchio di Matelica whites and a Marche IGT red.
