Luca Calvini works a small estate in the hills behind Sanremo, with a historic family plot of Pigato at Ceriana and a larger parcel given mostly to Vermentino at Poggio.
Vermentino is the largest wine at around eleven thousand bottles, followed by Pigato and Rossese, rounded out by a little dry Moscatello di Taggia – the near-forgotten native of the Sanremo valleys.
