History

Bruna is the reference name for Pigato, the aromatic native white of western Liguria. Riccardo Bruna began restoring his family's old vineyards at Ranzo in the early 1970s, and in 1972 made Le Russeghine, the first known single-vineyard Pigato, from a site recorded in a census of 1700. Farmed organically on steep inland terraces, Bruna's Pigato is the benchmark for the Riviera Ligure di Ponente.
