History

Maccario Dringenberg is the cult name of Rossese di Dolceacqua, Liguria's great red. On steep hand-worked terraces near the French border, Giovanna Maccario vinifies each historic cru separately, from the spicy, powerful Luvaira, whose vines date to about 1890 and are among Italy's oldest, to the floral, seductive Posaù. The wines are benchmarks for what the local Rossese grape can achieve.
