History
Montevetrano grew out of Silvia Imparato's project begun in the mid-1980s with oenologist Riccardo Cotarella; the first market vintages came in the early 1990s. From a few hectares near Salerno, the estate's single wine, a Cabernet-Merlot-Aglianico blend named Montevetrano, became one of Italy's most celebrated modern reds.
