History
Roberto Ceraudo borrowed money in 1973 to buy an abandoned estate at Strongoli, just south of Cirò, and after a pesticide accident converted to organic farming in 1987, becoming certified in 1991 and a pioneer of Calabrian organic wine. His Val di Neto wines, led by the night-picked Dattilo Gaglioppo, and the family's Michelin-starred Dattilo restaurant made him a regional legend.
