Vesuvius apricots Crisommole
The old apricot varieties of Vesuvius, known in Neapolitan as crisommole. An early-19th-century survey of farming in the Kingdom of Naples put the apricot second only to the fig for abundance around Naples, and best of all on Vesuvius.
