Papaccella Napoletana
Neapolitan Papaccella
A small ribbed pepper, slightly squat, either bright yellow shading to green or dark red shading to green. Naples market stalls fill with peppers from July to the first cold, but only Neapolitans reliably tell the true papaccella from the common hybrids.
