Where it is made

All or part of the comuni of Castel del Rio, Fontanelice, Casal Fiumanese and Borgo Tossignano, province of Bologna, with Castel del Rio limited to the ground on the right bank of the Sillaro torrent.

How it is made

New plantings must use the Marrone domestico biotype exclusively; the three biotypes together define the varietal identity of existing groves.
