A local garlic ecotype from the Ferrara plain, distinguished by a bright, uniform white bulb only rarely streaked with pink. The bulb is round, regular and compact, flattened slightly where the roots meet it, and the tunics wrapping each clove are white, sometimes pink-striped.

The comuni of Voghiera, Masi Torello, Portomaggiore, Argenta and Ferrara, all in the Province of Ferrara.

How it is made

Grown on a rotation of at least four years that excludes other liliaceous crops, following the traditional cultivation of the zone.
