Cicerale Chickpea

A chickpea grown on the first spurs of the Cilento since at least the Middle Ages. The town's name comes from the Latin for chickpea, and its coat of arms carries a chickpea plant with the motto terra quae cicera alit, the land that feeds chickpeas.
