Sauvignon

Also known as Sauvignon Blanc.

A green-skinned white most likely originating in the Loire Valley (also long cultivated in Bordeaux). Buds late but ripens early. In cooler climates it shows green, herbaceous notes (grass, green bell pepper, nettle) alongside tropical fruit and floral aromas; in warmer climates the tropical notes intensify but aromatic intensity can be lost to over-ripeness. Typically made for youthful, crisp drinking.
