History
Established in 1975 in the heart of Chianti Classico, Vecchie Terre di Montefili sits on a hill above 500 meters over Panzano's Conca d'Oro, its 12.5 hectares spanning the Panzano and Montefioralle sub-zones.
Since 2015 the estate has been owned by three American friends, Nicola Marzovilla, Frank Bynum and Tom Peck Jr., with agronomist-winemaker Serena Gusmeri leading a parcel-by-parcel, spontaneous-fermentation approach. It has been part of the Panzano Bio-district, Italy's first, since 1995.
