History

Tenuta Lenzini lies at Gragnano, in a natural amphitheatre of the Colline Lucchesi whose history reaches to the sixteenth century and the Arnolfini — the couple painted by Van Eyck. The modern estate began in 2007, when Benedetta inherited the family farm from her grandfather Franco Lenzini and set about converting it to biodynamics.

Run by Benedetta Tronci and Michele Guarino, the estate farms about thirteen hectares of vineyard biodynamically — using only sulphur, copper and vegetable preparations — planted to Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet, Alicante Bouschet and Vermentino, with the Syrah 'Casa e Chiesa' among its wines.
