History
Gaetano Taschetta, Giuseppe Chirco and Ignazio Oliveri founded Colomba Bianca in 1970 at Mazara del Vallo; it has become one of Italy's largest makers of organic wine.
Its roughly 2,480 members work some seven thousand five hundred hectares, producing over eleven million liters of certified organic wine, about a fifth of the total.
