History
Felline was created by Gregory Perrucci, third generation of a Manduria wine family, when the family's bulk-wine business gave way to an estate-bottled brand in the mid-1990s. In 1997 Perrucci founded the Accademia dei Racemi, a project to identify and revive native Puglian varieties (Primitivo, Malvasia Nera, Fiano Minutolo, Ottavianello, Susumaniello), and Felline's cru zoning of Primitivo di Manduria helped establish the grape's fine-wine credentials.
