History
Prunotto began in 1904 as a cooperative and, under Alfredo Prunotto and then Beppe Colla from 1956, became a pioneer of single-vineyard bottling in the Langhe (Barolo Bussia from the early 1960s). Based at Alba between Barolo and Barbaresco, it has been owned by the Marchesi Antinori family since 1994, with the Barolo Bussia Vigna Colonnello as its flagship.
