History
Alfonso Ferrio bought the red-walled Ca' Rossa farmstead at Canale in 1967; on his son Angelo's urging they began bottling in 1992, and from 1995 Angelo shifted to quality. His first Roero Audinaggio in 1996, a barrique-aged Nebbiolo from the sandy Valmaggiore, became the estate's calling card among the Roero's finest.
