History

Il Monticello began in 1980 when Pier Luigi Neri inherited a farm near Sarzana in eastern Liguria; his sons Alessandro and Davide now tend Vermentino, Sangiovese, Canaiolo and Ciliegiolo vines first planted over 40 years ago.

Across 14 hectares in Sarzana and Santo Stefano Magra it has become one of the most admired Colli di Luni estates, making whites, reds, a rose, a passito and grappa.
