History

Cantine Romagnoli sits at Villo di Vigolzone, in the Val Nure some twenty kilometres south of Piacenza, on a farm founded in 1857 that still keeps the shape of a mid-nineteenth-century estate of barns, stables and silos. The Romagnoli family bought it in 1926 and, from the 1970s, turned it decisively toward viticulture.

Across around fifty hectares of hillside vineyard the estate makes the classic Colli Piacentini range — above all Gutturnio Classico in its lively and Superiore styles — alongside Malvasia, Ortrugo, Metodo Classico sparkling and international varieties, ageing its reds in large Slavonian oak casks.
