History

Ca' Rugate takes its name from the volcanic Rugate hill near Brognoligo, where the Tessari family began providing wine for its inn early in the 20th century; Fulvio Tessari built the first winery around 1950 and the first Ca' Rugate-labelled bottles date to 1986. Now four generations in, it is a Soave reference (Monte Fiorentine, Monte Alto) that also champions sparkling Lessini Durello.
