History
Valdicava is a reference for opulent, refined Brunello. Bramante Abbruzzese returned in 1953 to the Montalcino land his family had once sharecropped, and his grandson Vincenzo made the estate famous. Its Madonna del Piano Riserva, one of the first single-vineyard Brunellos, set a standard for cru Montalcino and is prized for its velvety power and elegance.
