History

Monteraponi is a star of the new-generation, terroir-driven Chianti Classico. Around a 200-hectare medieval hamlet near Radda once held by a tenth-century baron, Michele Braganti farms 12 organic hectares of native varieties at altitude and vinifies gently and traditionally. His fragrant, elegant Chianti Classico and the single-vineyard Baron'Ugo are among Radda's most admired wines.
