History
The Benelli family has lived and farmed in the Chianti Classico territory since 1814; when sharecropping ended in 1969, Primo Benelli set aside a tiny plot at Monsanto to make wine for quality rather than quantity.
Today Antonio Benelli continues the tradition on what is reputed to be the smallest estate in Chianti Classico, producing fewer than 2,000 hand-signed bottles a year of a single wine.
