History
Azienda Bruni was born in 1956 when Leo Bruni and his son Paolo bought a small holding in the still-swampy lower Maremma, then known as the 'Maremma Amara'; after years of land reclamation they planted their first two hectares of vineyard in 1960 and bottled their first wine, 'Marta Rosso', in 1973.
After Paolo's early death in 1995 his twin sons, barely twenty, took over. Today the estate farms around forty hectares and makes over three hundred thousand bottles a year, built above all on Morellino di Scansano with Vermentino and a range of Maremma reds.
