History
The estate traces back to a small plot of vines belonging to Pietro Iaretti, a traffic warden and passionate amateur winemaker registered in the Gattinara DOCG vineyard registry. When his father decided to sell the vineyard around 1999, Paride Iaretti, then working as a chef, chose instead to leave his job and take over the land full-time.
The winery now farms roughly 4.5 hectares on Gattinara's volcanic porphyry soils, producing Nebbiolo-based Gattinara DOCG in several crus, including a Riserva and the single-vineyard Vigna Valferana. A new red-brick cellar between the town of Gattinara and the surrounding forest was inaugurated in 2016.
