History

Orsolani is the reference name for Erbaluce, the ancient white grape of the Canavese. The family began making wine in 1894 for its own inn near San Giorgio Canavese, and over four generations turned Erbaluce di Caluso into a serious wine in all three of its guises: the crisp dry La Rustia, a traditional-method sparkling, and the honeyed Caluso Passito Sulè, for which the estate pioneered barrique fermentation in 1988.
