History

Giuseppe Mascarello e Figlio is the estate of Monprivato, one of Barolo's most storied crus. Founded in 1881, the family bought its parcel of Monprivato in 1904, and from 1970 Mauro Mascarello bottled it as a single-vineyard Barolo, against his father's belief in blending. The perfumed, structured, extraordinarily long-lived Barolo Monprivato, and the rare Ca' d'Morissio Riserva, are among the Langhe's most magical wines.
