History

The Damilano family business traces to 1890, when Giuseppe Borgogno began cultivating his own vines; his son-in-law Giacomo Damilano took over in 1935 and gave the winery its name. In 1997 it passed to his grandchildren Paolo, Mario and Guido. Damilano is best known for its holdings on Cannubi, one of Barolo's most historic crus, documented as far back as a 1752 bottle.
