History
Comm. G.B. Burlotto is one of Barolo's most revered estates and the 'jewel of Verduno'. Founded in 1850, it was among the first in the Langhe to bottle and label its own wine rather than sell in bulk. Under fifth-generation Fabio Alessandria it has become a cult name, its whole-cluster, foot-trodden Barolo Monvigliero earning perfect scores, while its fragrant, peppery Verduno Pelaverga is the benchmark for that rare local grape.
