History

The brothers Alessandro and Gian Natale Fantino run their family estate from a seventeenth-century palace in Monforte; Alessandro made the wines at Bartolo Mascarello for twenty years before returning full-time in 1998.

From about eight hectares of old vines in Bussia Dardi they make the Barolo Cascina Dardi, once labeled Vigna dei Dardi.
