History
Villa Pigna was founded in 1968 at Offida, in the southern Marche, by Costantino Rozzi — the entrepreneur and Ascoli Calcio president — who set out to make and promote Piceno wines, releasing his first Rosso Piceno Superiore in 1970.
After Rozzi's death the estate passed to his daughter Annamaria, who planted new vineyards and modernised the cellar; across about a hundred hectares the house has remained a Rosso Piceno reference, with Offida DOCG wines alongside.
