History
The Girelli family have worked the land at Montonale since the early twentieth century, when Francesco planted Turbiana in the Conta hamlet; grandson Roberto made his first wine in 2003.
The estate took the name Montonale in 2010 and is run by the brothers Claudio, Roberto and Valentino Girelli across about thirty-five hectares of Lugana.
