History
Azienda Biava is the reference name for Moscato di Scanzo, the sweet red passito of Scanzorosciate near Bergamo and Italy's smallest DOCG, with only a few hectares of vineyard. Made from a rare aromatic red grape recorded here since 1340 and once prized by European courts, including Catherine the Great, it is a meditation wine of great rarity, and Biava is rated by guides and sommeliers as its finest interpreter.
