History

Radikon is one of the most influential natural-wine estates in the world. On land the family has worked at Oslavia since 1861, Stanko Radikon bottled his first vintage in 1979, and in the mid-1990s, inspired by Josko Gravner and the region's old traditions, he began making extended skin-contact whites, the wines now known as orange wines. Long macerations, spontaneous fermentation, very long ageing and little or no added sulphur define the house style, carried on since 2016 by his son Saša. The wines are sold under the Venezia Giulia IGT.
