History

Antonio Cascarano, an architect, from 2001 revived the wine estate of his grandfather Giovanni Falaguerra at Rapolla, recovering old Aglianico vines. Camerlengo is Basilicata's natural-wine outlier: spontaneous fermentation, no commercial yeasts or temperature control, minimal sulphur. Its reds Camerlengo and Antelio and the skin-macerated white Accamilla are cult bottles.
