History
Cantine del Notaio was founded in 1998 by Gerardo Giuratrabocchetti, an agricultural scientist who left academia to revive his family's seven-generation viticultural tradition on the extinct Vulture volcano. Ageing his Aglianico in ancient monks' tuff caves, he built a Basilicata benchmark, with labels named for notarial acts, La Firma, Il Sigillo, Il Rogito and L'Autentico.
