History
The Ciavolich family, wool merchants of Bulgarian origin, settled at Miglianico around 1560, and in 1853 Francesco Ciavolich built one of Abruzzo's oldest cellars there. From the 1960s the family developed the Loreto Aprutino estate, and today Chiara Ciavolich leads the winery, with the old-vine Fosso Cancelli Montepulciano as its flagship.
