Pignoletto
Also known as Grechetto gentile, Rebola (Rimini), Alionza (part).
Pignoletto is a white grape of the Bologna and Modena hills, ampelographically identical to Umbria's Grechetto gentile. It is the grape of the Colli Bolognesi Pignoletto DOCG and a component of many Emilian whites, usually made as a crisp still, frizzante or sparkling wine.
It gives light- to medium-bodied whites with brisk acidity, white-flower and green-apple aromas and a faintly bitter, almond finish. In the Rimini hills the same variety is known as Rebola.
