History
The Cantina Sociale di Avio was founded in 1957 by 171 local grower-members who pooled their grapes, processing about 24,000 quintals in the cooperative's first years.
Today trading as Viticoltori in Avio, the cooperative has grown to roughly 500 members; it is closely tied to the revival of Enantio, an ancient native red variety of the Terra dei Forti district along the Adige valley.
