History
Palari single-handedly rescued Faro, the historic red of Messina, from extinction. Salvatore Geraci began in 1990 in the Palari district above the strait, and after the critic Luigi Veronelli hailed his wine as the 'Romanée-Conti of Italy', Faro was reborn. Built on Nerello Mascalese and a mix of old local varieties from steep coastal terraces, Palari's Faro is one of Sicily's most elegant and sought-after reds.
