History
Cantine Bonsegna was founded in 1964 in Nardò when Primo Michele Bonsegna and his brothers Secondo Cosimo and Terzo Antonio purchased the historic 'Stabilimento Vitivinicolo Sangiovanni,' an early-1900s winery in the center of town with typical Lecce-style ogival vaults.
The estate has continued as a family winery producing native Salento reds, farming with integrated methods that limit fertilizer and pesticide use.
